WinMass CJK

WinMass CJK is Multilanguage software for Windows.  It is used for:

  • Viewing Roger Catalog in Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters.
  • Viewing WWW pages in Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters.
  • Inputting Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters for searching.
Starting WinMass CJK

It is recommended to close all applications before starting WinMass CJK software. 

  1. Activate WinMass CJK by clicking "Start" button and select "WinMass CJK"
  2. Activate browser by clicking "Start" button and select "Netscape for InfoStations"

 
Viewing Roger Catalog in CJK Characters
  1. Left click WinMass CJK logo at the bottom right corner of the screen
  2. Select "EACC" code
  3. Search Roger Catalog as usual
  4. When finished searching, turn off WinMass CJK by right clicking WinMass logo at the lower right corner of the screen and select "EXIT"

 Problem?

If you run into gibberish characters, check if the character code setting for the browser is set for Western by clicking "View" from screen menu , then select "Character Set" from drop menu, and then "Western".

 
Viewing WWW pages in CJK Characters
  1. Select appropriate language code to view pages by left clicking WinMass CJK logo at the right bottom corner of the screen while you navigate the web. Different sites use different codes.
  2. When finished navigating, turn off WinMass CJK by right clicking WinMass logo at the bottom right corner of the screen and select "EXIT".

 
Inputting in CJK characters for searching
  1. Place the cursor in the search box of the database you are going to search.
  2. Activate Input Tool Bar by double clicking WinMass CJK logo at the right bottom corner of the screen.
  3. Select language and language code by clicking the 3rd button from the left of the box that appears.
  4. Select appropriate input method by clicking the 4th button from the left.
  5. Type search terms into the Input Tool Bar and select appropriate characters or phrases.
  6. Send the search terms.
  7. When finished searching, close Input Tool Bar by clicking the 6th button and exit WinMass CJK by right clicking WinMass logo at right bottom corner of the screen.
